The National Theatre is a leading Czech theater scene, and the repertoire consists of drama, opera and ballet performances.

The National Theatre was founded in 1881, after a long construction due to lack of funds necessary for the construction of such a large theater. National Theatre was built in Neo-Renaissance style, decorated with paintings and sculptures, the theater had become a symbol of the independence of the Czech nation and language. Unfortunately, the same year the theater was destroyed by fire, and after two years of reconstruction was reopened November 18, 1883 premiere Libuše Smetana, specially composed for this occasion.

Church of the Holy Ghost was built in the middle of XIV century in the Baroque style for the Benedictine monastery. Later the church was destroyed during the Hussite wars, and soon after, damaged by fire in 1689. Outwardly, this church, rebuilt after a fire, retains the original Gothic buttress (additional support protruding part of the wall, the vertical edge, taking up the severity of overlap) and high windows, but the nave vault was rebuilt in the Baroque style.

Terezin was built by Emperor Joseph II as a system of fortifications to defend the country in the late XVIII century against Prussia.

The former garrison town, which was rebuilt and turned into a Jewish ghetto (and was used as a transit camp for Jews by the Nazis, whose final destination was Auschwitz) during World War II. By the end of the war some 150,000 Jews were sending in Terezin, and another 35,000 died from disease and starvation.

Prague – the capital of the Czech Republic, the center of Western Europe, is located on both parties of the Vltava River. The city was put about 11 centuries ago.
